“Reverse Painting with Vitreous Glass Enamels”

(the non-traditional way)

Learn the non-traditional glass painting techniques that the famous Bronwen Heilman has been doing for years!  This 2 day workshop is mixing and painting flat glass tiles with many different methods making it easy for even those who are not artistic to be successful!   Then practice... picking up the ‘glass tile’ and laying it on the bead, and forming the perfect design on a great shaped bead.

“Silver Glass Adventures” with Hayley

Class includes lunch on both days and all glass and supplies.

In this 2 day workshop, students will be exploring the many facets of working with silver glass.   Students will be learning the secrets of reduction and striking of the glass to enable them to duplicate the desired effects and be the master of the glass. 

Once the basic technique of working with silver glass is achieved, the students will learn the different ways of using silver glass to expand their repertoire.  some of the techniques we may cover include encasing silver glass, surface decoration with silver glass, stringers, shards and twisties, and using silver glass in gravity swirls.  Not only will silver glass be emphasized, but Hayley will  also instruct the students in design, perfect bead shaping, and making olive and bicone /tubular shaped beads.  Intermediate Skill level.
